Unfortunately, you’re not going to get a reputable, high quality education doing school online. That’s just the truth. Distance education can be a good fit for a lot of people, but there’s just no substitute for a diploma from an actual university. I’m not saying you wouldn’t learn anything or gain any worthwhile skills in an online program, but the diploma is not going to carry a lot of weight with employers.

There is a website called http://www.bestbizschools.com which is sponsored by AACSB International, which is the premier accreditor of business schools. You can put in your preferences, and it will tell you which accredited business schools meet your needs.

Morehead State University and Western Kentucky University. Both are regional state universities at which the total cost of an MBA is less than $12,000. You simply can’t beat that (unless you get a fake degree from a diploma mill). Check out geteducated.com Its a great page that has information on dozens of real, traditional universities that offer online programs. They tend to be about the same cost or cheaper than schools like the University of Phoenix.

locloc isn’t aware of some of the really high level MBA programs offered online. Duke University is probably the top of that list.

There are some others with pretty good reputations out there the likes of Embry-Riddle, U Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Arizona State, UMass, U Oklahoma, Carnegie Melon, Thunderbird, U Texas (Dallas), Mississippi State, U Colorado, Aberdeen….

Your challenge is going to be that you want 1) reputable 2) high-quality 3) low cost in the same package. Let me ask, since you aspire to be an MBA, if you ran a program that was reputable and high-quality, how “low cost” would you make it?

For the “reputable” part, look for AACSB and name-recognition. For “high quality” you’ll want what we all want – the best. For low cost look at this list –> http://www.geteducated.com/online-college-ratings-and-rankings/best-buy-lists/best-buy-online-masters-mba-aacsb

A special note: some people that have never taken an online course (and probably don’t have a degree) will tell you that “online is bad” – summarily dismiss them – they’re being left in 1981 as we all move on in the 21st century.

The key is not whether it’s online or classroom. The key is the reputation of the college and the network it can provide you.

Try searching on this website http://homegear.com/r/?q=23133149&r=2116 to find a list of schools that match the criteria you are looking for. Also, a lot of regular schools offer online classes or weekend/evening programs for people who work full time, so you should look in to something like that locally as well. Good luck!

By consensus, the best online MBA in the world is from Heriot-Watt University. Unfortunately, it is not well known (or recruited) in the USA.

In the USA, an online MBA is not advisable because the case study method is best taught in spontaneous real-time fashion, in a classroom environment full of bright students and an experienced professor. If you MUST get an online MBA, make sure it is AACSB-accredited.

Till now i found caluniversity.edu provides the best online MBA program. It offers you distance learning programs in Masters and Doctorate. Choose the program which you want to pursue and get that desirable degree of your choice. It offers you personalized service and a quality education that focuses on your individual needs as a student.

I did my MBA at caluniversity.edu and now working as a manager in a very reputed finance company

Universities grant the MBA, not a distance learning MBA or a full-time MBA, or Executive MBA. So it does not matter how you get the degree, but it matters from which school you get it. Clearly the education is more valuable if you can attend classes and interact with other MBA students, but not everyone has that choice.
Consult the Official MBA Guide. It’s a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, etc), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It’s the best service available at http://officialmbaguide.org.
