What are some online course providers that colleges accept?

What are some online course providers that colleges will accept for making up grades? I know BYU Distance Education is one of them. I got a D in the second semester of AP Calculus AB and I need to make it up. Are there any other course providers that provide make-up courses that are accepted by colleges, especially the UC’s? I’m ready to sign up for the Calculus one, but I’m hesitant because it’s $592.

You can easily compare info about these schools in this site – schools.iblogger.org

BYU is not UC approved. A workaround for BYU is for your HS principal to approve the course for HS credit.

Below is a list of UC-approved online schools:

    * National University Virtual High School offers both regular and AP courses. Prices range from $275 to $375 per course and there are some scholarships available.
    * National Connections Academy offers both regular and AP courses. Prices range from $345 to $445 per course. Choose the part-time enrollment option to take individual courses.
    * K12 International Academy offers both regular and AP courses at $750 per course. Choose the part-time enrollment option to take individual courses.
    * Laurel Springs Online offers AP courses at $950 per course.

Remember that NOT all courses offered through the online schools are UC-approved. Check the a-g list for each school at UC Doorways to ensure the courses you plan to take meet the a-g requirements: https://doorways.ucop.edu/list/
