Opinion on attending two universities at once!?

By | November 10, 2015

I’m moving, but will still be close to the university I currently attend. I am currently attending Graduate school of Nursing for Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and am also seeking a second bachelor’s degree in Spanish. The university I currently attend had to cut down on the education department and no longer offer a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. It is now a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish, which requires me to take a 4th English (401 and 402) (yuck!) along with French 1 and 2, and Latin 1 and 2, as well as my Spanish courses. They had to do this in order to keep the program. The new city I’m moving to has a university that offers a straight Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish (without all the extra bs) but does not offer the Nurse Practitioner program! My Grad Studies are completely online so no travel for that is required except maybe every once in a while, but even then it is only an hour away. Has anyone ever attended two institutions at once? What do you think?

You really should ask a counselor on that, but I do know people who’ve done that. If it’s possible, go for it. It sounds completely demanding though. Hey, just remembered that an actor, James Franco, is doing that as well. I believe he was going to two universities in New York City while commuting to North Carolina some poetry program.
