Online Masters in Special Education?

By | August 15, 2015

I am a full time speech language pathologist in the school system and part time in an outpatient clinic. I have gained a passion for my special needs students and want to further my education with a masters in special education. I am not in a position to quit my job and have found three online colleges that offers a completely online degree. However, I have heard of many online schools who were not really accredited and respected when it comes to getting a job. Does anyone know anything about the reputation of Fort Hays State University, Ashford University, or West Governors University. I am interested in beginning as soon as possible. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ashford is in Iowa and used to be a college with a different name – it has a campus so that is reassuring. I would however look at some of the biggies and see what they have online – like University of VA, Kansas or Penn State. All have online options too.

Matter of fact almost all universities do now –

    Good luck -

You can go in for Ashford University as it has been an old timer in providing education to the masses and is accredited by HLC. Online classes at Ashford run in 5 to 6 segments making it possible to complete the online degree faster.

While checking out Ashford University, I came across http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/uv-ashford-university-8.aspx which provides in depth details about the university.
