i also got accepted to UC Davis, Irvine and Santa Barbara.
San Diego State was my first letter from the schools i applied to and it was a rejection letter. i thought i wasn’t going to get in to the rest but it turned out that i got in to all including Calstate Long Beach.

Not necessarily. If your stats were good enough to get into UC Berkeley then it is possible that SDSU rejected you because they knew that you were never going to register there. It’s called Tuft’s Syndrome, when a school thinks you’re “too good” and have no chance of actually attending and doesn’t want to be your backup. Lol, it sounds weird but it does happen.

IT IS NOT WEIRD, IT’S REALITY. COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE IS A SOMEWHAT SUBJECTIVE PRACTICE. WE WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT THE PEOPLE IN ADMISSIONS ARE PROFESSIONAL 100% OF THE TIME, BUT THEY ARE HUMAN. MAYBE THE PERSON WHO READ YOUR ADMISSION’S ESSAY WAS NOT IMPRESSED. BY THE FACT THAT ALL THESE OTHER SCHOOLS ACCEPTED YOU SPEAKS POSITIVELY FOR YOUR GRADES AND EXTRA CURRICULARS, THUS LEAVING THE DECIDING FACTOR YOUR ESSAY. THE PERSON WHO READ THAT ESSAY IS ONLY HUMAN AND THEY DROPPED THE BALL ON YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL.

No not really. Congrats that you got accepted to Berkeley. I would go there if I was you.
