Is DevRy good for online education?

By | December 10, 2015

Hello. I’m from Tashkent, Uzbekistan (it’s not Pakistan or Afganistan) and I want to apply to DevRy because they have online education program. Is DevRy good choice for me? Or, maybe, there are some better universities out there?

My plan is to get a bachelors degree online and then move to the United States for masters degree.

And also I have one *very* important thing. I study here in Tashkent University of Information Technologies and I don’t want to lose 3 years that I spent. Advisor from DevRy said that they’ll try to compensate some of my classes so I won’t have to take them again.

The better question would be: is there any online universities which offer a truly quality program?
From my experiences (I tutor college students who are enrolled in various online programs including a couple of doctoral students), the quality of these online college’s programs are less than that of brick and mortar universities.
If you want to complete a course of study online, I would suggest finding a non-online university that is established and reputable that offers online programs. Many non-online universities offer the ability to complete certain programs entirely online.

DeVry is an excellent school. Contrary to the belief of the person above, it is NOT an online school. There are over 75 locations across the country and they are 75 years old. For students from 3 year degree programs like yourself there is a transitional program and then you can go on to the master’s.

However, you can take your courses online. Many military and execs who travel find DeVry a great benefit.
