How much does a teacher in Pennsylvania make with an Associates degree?

By | October 11, 2015

I am in school for Early Childhood Edu.
I will have my Associates Degree by Summer 2014 and I was just curious to see how much Kindergarten and Elementary teachers make in Pennsylvania? I saw somewhere online it said $58000 but that does not seem correct to me..unless it was a Bachelors or Masters Degree!! Let me know! Thanks!!!

First of all, you can’t teach Kindergarten or Elementary with an Associates. You would need a Bachelors degree and a Teacher Licence. You could be a Teachers Aid with an associates. However, you may also be able to teach Preschool at SOME private preschool centers or day care centers with an associates.

Generally, I preschool teacher with an associates will make $12.00-$15.00/hour

The average Elementary Teacher with a Masters degree in P.A makes $54,000/year according to the government census.
