you usually only have to have a high school diploma. go to the schools you want to sub and ask them how to apply.

Substitute teaching does require a teaching degree in most states. However, there are states in which you can take a class IF you have a 4 year degree that will allow you to become a substitute. If you do not have a 4 year degree, you could put in for a substitute paraprofessional position.

It depends on where you live. When I lived in NJ you had to have at least 60 hours of college classes, but that was years ago so I don’t know if it is still true. Other US states have different guidelines. Other countries – I don’t know about.
Try calling the office of the school and ask them what qualifications you need.
    Good luck.

Go to the administration building, to the employment office. Tell them you want to sign up for substitute teaching. You need 60 credit hours to substitute, at least in Missouri. Any school district in your state can tell you how many hours you need to s. teach. No you cannot apply on line, for they need your transcript showing, in my case 60 c. hrs.- You can choose what schools and what level you want to teach. You have to have a background check done and anything else your district may require.
