Does a online MBA translate to an associate’s degree at a groud based community college?

By | November 22, 2015

My friends have informed me that an online MBA isn’t like the real thing so I was wondering if it translates to an associates degree at a regular school?

I was thinking of earning the MBA through the University of Maryland University College. It is a state sponsored college but it is an online institution so it wouldn’t be like the regular University of Maryland MBA.

Absolutely not. An MBA is still a Master’s, and requires a ton more work than any Associate’s. While it’s true that an online university degree might be viewed with a touch of skepticism by employers, and might be a slight disadvantage when going up against another candidate who got their MBA on a “real” campus, you will NEVER be considered in the same educational category as someone with an Associate’s.
